the web site is a great start. maybe you throw an electronic party for professionals & students. some sort of ice breaker? is there a blog here? i am going back to explore your new creation (thanks by the way)

how about having consistent events? like when you say there is going to be a monthly breakfast/get-together, people actually show up. also, some more opportunities to go to different design firms in the city would be nice, especially if the people that work there actually talk with people other than their co-workers. a forum on business practices and current trends would be really helpful, too.
