Kyle Blue serves as the Design Director of Dwell--the first magazine to explore both the interiors and exteriors of modern home design in a stylish yet accessible way. With its focus on a new modernistic approach to design, Dwell offers identity, creativity and harmony. Blue has led his team through a complete redesign of the periodical which is now entering its second volume. Before being appointed to his current position, Blue worked as a senior designer for Apple, and earlier held the position of Senior Designer at Dwell. As a Design Fellow at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, he designed several books including Julie Mehretu: Drawing and Painting as well as materials for museum exhibitions and programs. Blue has also worked for Tenazas Design in San Francisco and was the first intern hired by Knoxville's Yee Haw Industries.

A native of North Carolina and graduate of NC State's Graphic Design program, Blue now lives and works in San Francisco, CA, where he enjoys fixed gear bicycling.
